In the no limit holdem table, the hole cards that are played should be those that have an above average chance of winning however experienced players can try to play the average hands if they have good bluffs and tricky skills in combination with lot of mathematical ideas. In no limit holdem the winning potential of the hand is less for average pockets when there is lot of players in the table. One can take a chance with playing average hands in no limit holdem in short handed tables, but doing so in big tables can be quite useless in most cases. In no limit holdem where the table is short handed, it will be okay to play with high pocket pairs and keep watching for trips in the poker hand. Sometimes there can be opponent bluffs with high pairs, but if the board does not have any other card that is better in ranking than yours and you have a hit trips on the board, never fold such hands unless the board has a high card than yours and chances are very less for someone to have a trip to beat you unless the board has competitive cards in the board. Even if there is going to be a high rank card in the board it might be unlikely that it has caused trips to someone else. All such should be thought out before folding some really nice hands in no limit holdem. Beware that in no limit holdem there is going to be a point of decline in return with tight play throughout the game. Playing tight throughout the table pays less and therefore playing tight is recommended pre-flop and a bit of aggression towards the end helps to make a juicy winning. |
